Sustainability / LEED

FitzGerald & Sons Plumbing Company is dedicated to reducing the construction industry’s impact on the environment for our future generations. We are a current member of the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED Program.

FitzGerald & Sons Plumbing Company has been educating our employees on sustainable design and becoming more aware of the environment through LEED accreditation. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a standard for building construction created in 1993 by the USGBC. The LEED Green Building Rating System is a voluntary market-driven building rating system. Based on a point rating system, buildings are qualified and certified as LEED Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. Points are earned by implementing designs on operational procedures in the following areas:

• Sustainable Sites
• Water Efficiency
• Energy and Atmosphere
• Materials and Resources
• Indoor Environmental Quality and Innovation
• Design Process

FitzGerald & Sons Plumbing Company has performed plumbing system installations in all three LEED Certification Levels: Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
